HARP: Battlemaster!
Battlemaster is a hex-based set of miniature movement rules for HARP. It is designed to let our customers take advantage of the wide range miniatures and color maps currently available. Our minis of choice are, of course, Disposable Heroes from PIG Games. Battlemaster uses a scale of 1 hex = 3′.
Originally it seemed logical to use the more conventional scale of 1 hex = 5′, but a Japanese friend pointed out that that scale would make the system difficult for our international customers to use.
HARP: Battlemaster also debuts ICE’s new line of ready-to-run adventures, and marks a cooperative venture with GM Syndicate. The color map and the ready-to-run adventure in Battlemaster, Flamewatch Keep, were produced by the folks of GM Syndicate. We plan to be using many of their maps and adventures for future ready-to-runs. We will also be commissioning them to do maps for future ready-to-run adventures produced by ICE authors, As an extra bonus, PIG Games has supplied a all the Disposable Heroes that you need to run the Flamewatch Keep adventure.
