April 26, 2004 — Iron Crown Enterprises, creators of Rolemaster, has commissioned Roleplaying Software.com, creator of the Character Software Companion (CSC), to build official software for ICE’s High Adventure Role Playing (HARP) game. The first in a series of new software, the HARP Software Companion, will be free. It will be built on the foundation of the highly popular Character Software Companion and feature:

• Create new characters quickly and easily
  • Randomly roll and manually enter stats
  • Point-buy system of generating stats from a static number of points
  • Point-buy system from a static number, plus a random roll totaled
  • Equip the characters with all the equipment listed in the rule book
  • Users will be able to define Training Packages on the fly
  • Plus many more features…
• Contains all game information (races, cultures, skills, talents, etc..) from the books
• Tab views for main information, skills, equipment, and talents…
• Print characters in the official sheet format
• A free product with no demo mode

The expected release date is the end of May 2004.

HARP is a simple, fast, fun and extremely flexible fantasy role playing game that allows you to create the character you want to play and not force you to follow certain templates or paths. Roleplaying Software.com is looking forward to making the HARP Software Companion, as well as other HARP software, for the fast growing HARP community. In addition, as the official software provider for ICE games, Roleplaying Software.com will be releasing the highly anticipated Version 2 of the Character Software Companion, featuring customizable races, professions, skills, spells, TPs, etc.. and the Spacemaster Software Companion based on Version 2 of the CSC. Also, the GM Software Companion, featuring a combat calculator and other GM tools, to be released in the months to follow.
